Explained: Anonymous content launch

Civica Learning allows anonymous access to file based content items, i.e. it provides the ability for external users, that do not have an account on the lms, to access content items, such as videos or e-Learning courses, without needing to login.

When this feature is enabled, Global administrators or Content administrators can configure anonymous content access on a per content item basis using the ANONYMOUS LAUNCHING option, which is displayed on the Properties page for content items:

The launch link provided is only valid, when the Allow anonymous launching check-box is selected.

Anonymous content access supports content items that have been uploaded to the lms using the Catalogue | Add courses and files option (i.e. SCORM/xAPI (Tin Can) eLearning courses, and other arbitrary files, such as videos, PDF, etc. It does not support Web links, Tasks, Event/Sessions or curricula.

Content accessed by anonymous users does not appear in reports.

By default, this feature is not enabled. Please contact the support team, if you would like the anonymous content launch feature to be enabled on your Civica Learning.
