Certification for events
The Agylia LMS has been updated to support the award of a certification when a learner attends an event/session. The functionality is equivalent to that already available, where learners complete content items, such as eLearning courses, and are awarded a certification. The learner is awarded the configured certification when the learner has attended a session, and receives an email with the associated certificate attached as a PDF file. The learner can view any certificates they have been awarded on their Achievements page in their Web learner portal, and can optionally download a copy of the certificate. For more information on certifications with events, please refer to the Explained: Certifications article.
Automatic or manual session completion
Events can now be configured to complete either Automatically, after the end date/time for a session a learner was enrolled on, or Manually, where the learner (or admin) must manually click a button to confirm attendance on the session. The LMS also supports a combined mode, Automatic and manual, where learners are automatically marked as having attended the event, after the date for the session they are enrolled on has passed, but they also have the option to change their attendance manually via the Web learner portal or Apps. For more information on configuring completion with events, please refer to the How To: Create events and sessions article.
Certifications per attempt
The behavior of the LMS, for the award of a certification when a learner completes an attempt, has been updated. Where an eLearning course has been configured to use attempts, and the eLearning course is associated with a certification, the LMS will now award a certificate each time the learner completes a new attempt, where they meet the specified certification award criteria. For more information on using attempts, please refer to the Explained: Attempts and attempt history article.
