Send notifications
A new page in the notifications section enables administrators to send notifications to users of Agylia mobile apps. You can choose to send to either individual users or to groups of users based on group membership. Messages can be up to 250 characters and are delivered using the notification system relevant to the app platform. After initial registration (which occurs automatically the first time a user log's in to an app) this does not rely on the user opening the app on their device to receive the notification.
Notifier role
A new Notifier role has been added. This role enables nominated users to send notification to a subset of users as determined by group membership. In common with the existing roles, an administrator can assign this new role to selected users by using the Users | {user} | Roles page. They can then scope the role to one or more specified groups, which determines over which user set the Notifier role applies. For more information about the precise set of permissions granted by the Notifier role, see User Roles Overview.
Event sessions reporting
Event sessions where a user has enrolled or attended a session are now included in the User Activity report. If a user is enrolled on a sessions their status will update automatically to attended for reporting purposes within one hour from the end of the session. Reports run before this time has passed may not include final attendance status. Where users manually update their status to attended this will be reflected in reports immediately. If a user updates their status to not attended then they will revert to enrolled.
From email address change
The From email address used by the system as the from address for emails sent by the system is now read only. This is in preparation for a forthcoming change to our email system which will enable us to scale our email solution more effectively and add additional features in the future. By default the system will send all emails from donotreply@agylia.com. If you have previously modified the default then your from address will not be affected. If you need to change the from address please raise a helpdesk request for us to process this for you. Please note that it is now a requirement that all from addresses are valid email addresses; an email will be sent to validate the new from email address and the email address will not be able to be used unless the link in the email is clicked.
User rules enhancement
When defining user rules, you can now choose any and provide a comma separated list of values to match on. For example if you want to use a user rule to add a user to a Sales and Marketing group if their department is Sales or Marketing, you can now use a single rule with the choice any and the value Sales, Marketing.
Updated enrolment administration interface
The administration interface for managing enrolment on content items other than events has been updated to match the style used for managing event session enrolments. Changes have also been made to improve the performance of this page when managing items targeted at more than 1000 users.
