Pass / Fail information in reports
The LMS reports have been enhanced, such that where a course has a pass score (mastery score) defined, when a user has completed the course the reports will display either Passed or Failed, based on the learner's score relative to the pass score. Note that previously, learner records were displayed with a status of Completed, irrespective of the score achieved.
Curricula completion logic updated
The behaviour of curricula has been updated, so that the 'Must pass' requirement on an item in a curriculum, now also contributes towards the completion of the curriculum. All Mandatory items specified as 'Must pass' within a curriculum, must be passed by the learner for the curriculum to be completed. Note that previously, the 'Must pass' requirement only contributed towards the locking between items in curricula.
Admin Portal Catalogue page improvements
The Admin Portal Catalogue page layout has been updated and the performance of the page has been improved.
Admin reports - content item picker updates
The Catalogue items content picker dialog on the Report generator page has been enhanced. Reporters can now filter the displayed catalogue items in the dialog by Type and Category and the order of items displayed can be sorted either ascending or descending by Title, Created, Modified, Type or Priority.
Attempts support
The LMS now supports attempts. This enables users to complete courses multiple times with each attempt being separately tracked, so that the administrator can report on the attempt history for users. A user who had completed a course, can on subsequent launches, choose to simply review the content or to start again with a new attempt. The administrator can configure the use of attempts on a per course basis, including a limit how many attempts a user can take to pass a course. Attempt history can be viewed for specific users via the Users | {user} | Content page dialog, and the admin can grant additional attempt(s) for a user, rather than simply resetting their status for the course. Equivalent functionality is available in the Learner Portal, where learners are able to see all of their attempts in their learner history. This ensures full visibility of the learners progress and journey for courses.
The attempts feature is enabled by default for new customers. For existing customers, please contact the support team if you wish to have the attempts feature enabled.
Landing pages and updated item tile design
The Learner Portal has been enhanced with simplified item tiles and item level landing pages. These pages allow more detail to be added to each item than previously possible, including attachments, and makes it easier to see and add comments to items.
This version is being released to all customers during November. More details are available here.
