Localisation support
The Agylia Learner Portal and Apps now support language packs. Users are able to choose their preferred language and the user interface updates with the appropriate language text. Please contact your account manager for more information on multi-language support or to add language packs to your Learner Portal or Apps.
The Administration portal has also been updated to support multiple languages. For customers configured with multiple languages, administrators can now choose a language when sending invites or welcome emails to new users, and can choose to target only users with a chosen preferred language when sending ad-hoc notifications. The LMS uses a default language for users with no preferred language defined, and this can now be customised.
Multi-language email template editing
For customers who are configured with multiple languages, global administrators can now edit all email templates for all of the configured languages. In addition, the email template for the system signature, and the template for the mail sent when a certificate is awarded are now included in the list of editable templates. The appropriate language template is used when he system sends emails based on a profile property. Please contact your account manager for more information on multi-language support or to add language packs to your Learner Portal.
Organisational units
The Agylia LMS now supports organisational units. An organisational unit (OU) is a container into which you can place users. OUs can be arranged into hierarchies which enables them to be used to model organisational structures (both internal and external) and to better organise and manage users for role assignment (i.e. delegated administration), content assignment (targeting), and user selection purposes. The Organisational Units FAQs document outlines the key features available. For more information on organisational units, please speak to your account manager.
Usernames in reports
For all relevant reports the username is now included in the CSV download to assist you in post processing report data. The username is now included by default and no action needs to be taken by the administrator to add this field. Usernames will only be displayed in reports generated after this release and will not be retrospectively added to reports run prior to this.
Enhanced user selection options for reports
Administrators can now choose to select individual users, groups or organisational units when running a report. Where previously some reports could only be run over a group, all reports now support any combination of these three options. Note, organisational units must be added to a user's profile to enable reporting based on organisational units.
Reminders optionally only sent to user targeted via My Learning
Items can be configured with completion dates and email reminders. You can now choose to send the reminders to either all of the users targeted via both My Learning and the Catalogue, or by default, only to those users targeted via My Learning. Previously reminders were always sent to both users targeted via My Learning and the Catalogue. While the default behaviour has changed, all existing catalogue items have been migrated to send reminders to both users targeted via My Learning and the Catalogue. This ensures there is no change in behaviour for existing items. Administrators can of course change this setting for existing items by editing the new option in the reminders section.
SSO integration improvements
Single Sign-On (SSO) integration allows users to seamlessly login to the Agylia LMS when they are already logged in to their corporate domain. The features supported by the SSO feature have now been enhanced to allow automatic user creation when users first access the LMS, and to automatically update the users' profiles on subsequent access to the LMS. This ensures that the corporate user store / HR system and the LMS are consistent. For more information on SSO integrations, please speak to your account manager.
Curricula identifiers on content items
In response to customer feedback, the content item properties page, for items that are included in curricula, has been enhanced to display the curriculum name with a link to the relevant curriculum properties page. Previously the page included the number of curricula that the item was included in, but had no way to identify the specific curricula. This simplifies the administration of curricula. A bug which caused deleted curricula to be included in this list has also been resolved.
