- Log in to your Civica Learning Administration portal, as a Global administrator or Content administrator.
- On the NAVIGATION pane, click Catalogue.
- On the Results page, click the item that you want to configure.
INFO: To find content items, use the SEARCH section.
- On the item page, in the SECTIONS section, click Enrolment.
- In the ENROLMENT section, you can configure your enrolment settings for the item. The following options are available:
- Not configured. Choose this option if you do not require learners to enrol onto the item before being able to view and complete it. For events, this option is not available, since enrolment is mandatory.
- Enrolment required with no approval. Choose this option if you require learners to enrol onto the item but do not require any enrolment approval.
- Enrolment required with approval by a designated approver. Choose this option if you require learners to enrol onto the item and you want the enrolment request to be approved by a nominated approver before the learner's enrolment is confirmed and before the learner can view and complete the content item or attend a session (where the item is an event).
- Enrolment required with approval by the learner's assigned approver. Choose this option if you require learners to enrol onto the item and you want the enrolment request to be approved by an approver that is obtained from the user's profile. Learners must have an Approver property associated with their user profile, and this property is used to determine the identity of the approver when a user requests to enrol onto the item.
- Enrolment required with admin approval. Choose this option if you require learners to enrol onto the item and you want the approval requests to be handled in the Administrator portal by any Global administrator or Content administrator with the appropriate permissions to view the current item. This option is available for legacy reasons and should generally not be used. One of the previous options is recommended, so that approvers can process their approvals via the Web learner portal or Civica Apps.
- Enrolment required with no self-enrolment. Choose this option if you want to prevent learners enrolling themselves onto the item and you want the enrolment process to be handled in the Administrator portal by any Global administrator or Content administrator with the appropriate permissions to view the item. This option is can also be used where some external system is being used to automatically enrol users onto the item.
- Require an administrator to specify a reason when enrolling a user on a session (Only applicable to events). Choose this option to require administrators to add enrolment notes, when enrolling a learner onto a session. Enrolment reasons can be free text, or a defined set of values, as defined in Settings | Advanced | SESSION ENROLMENT REASONS. Information added as an enrolment reason provides additional details for the enrolment. For example, an administrator may wish to document whether the learners attendance on a session is included within their service plan, or training their organisation needs to be charged for.
