Users with the Global administrator role are able to make bulk changes to their catalogues. To make bulk changes, first you should export your catalogue informaton - see the How To: Export a summary of your catalogue article.
To import catalogue updates
1. Log into your Administration portal.
2. On the NAVIGATION pane, click Catalogue.
3. In the ACTIONS section, click Import catalogue updates.
4. In the Import catalogue updates dialog, click the first here hyperlink to download the template file.
6. The template file will contain the column headings pertaining to the changes you may want to make. Fill in the rows with the updates you wish to make. Each row is a separate category and you can include as many category updates as you like in one import file.
NOTE: Once you have filled out the spreadsheet, ensure you save it as a UTF8 code CSV file.
7. Select the options to configure the import. You have the folowing options:
- Verify import only. Select this option to verify the import file, without making changes toyour catalogue.
- Update properties. When checked, the catalogue item properties in your import file will replace the coprresponding properties in you live catalogue, when the file is imported.If not checked, property information in your catalogue willnot be updated.
- Update targeting. When checked, the tageting information in your import file will replace the targeting for the relevant items in your catalogue.
- Remove user targeting. When checked, any targeting to individuals for the content items will be removed.
8. Click Browse, then attach the file you want to import, then click Upload.
NOTE: The Import catalogue updates dialog will display a progress bar, showing the progress of the upload. You must review the email that the system sends, after completing the import, to view the status of the import. Any errors will be noted on a per row basis and the file will not be imported, if any errors exist in the file.
